M & T Enterprises

M & T Enterprises Ltd. is a 100 percent Inuit-owned Rankin Inlet-based company that offers various services such as, freight and delivery, fuel delivery, household moving, construction, expediting and ground transportation. Our target markets are the mine development and mineral exploration companies, airlines, government and local residents

We were originated in 1979 by then partners, Angelina Mercer and Peter Tatty where they focused on local deliveries, off loading planes, and expanded to household moving to fuel delivery to expediting. They successfully ran their company and in 2003, M & T formed a new joint venture company, 'Nuna M & T'. The purpose of this joint venture was to provide site management services such as catering and camp orientation to exploration companies.

In 2008, Nunasi Corporation (nunasi.com) and Sakku Investments (sakkuinvestments.ca) each purchased one-third interest in M & T Enterprises leaving Peter Tatty, with one-third ownership of the company. This investment was mainly for the growth and expansion of the company which has lead to many more opportunities for Inuit Beneficiaries through jobs and training

challenger with sledsIn 2010, Nuna M & T made another joint partnership called Kivalliq Services, with Peter's Expediting Limited and Eskimo Point Lumber Supply (eskimopointlumber.com). Their main focus is to expand and compete for various mining contracts

We currently have over 40 employees and have been really pushing the expediting portion of our business. The purchase of nine Caterpillar Challenger 65s along with Steel Sleds used to transport equipment across the tundra to Operational and Exploration camps. M & T's General Manager, Hamish Tatty is focused on developing and expanding operations. Our business is now focused on freight forwarding, warehouse and secure storage, fuel delivery, expediting, overland hauling, heavy equipment and office rental.
