Deep Roots Garden Design

DEEP ROOTS GARDEN DESIGN was created so that I could help people design beautiful but practical landscapes. Residential landscaping has changed a lot since my parents’ generation. There are more plants to choose from and more building materials available to us. As a result, there are endless possibilities for creating that perfect outdoor living space.

For some people this has made landscaping more complicated. As such, my job is to guide people through the planning and design process and to help them make good decisions. To prepare myself for this job, I have trained as a Master Gardener, horticulturist and arborist. I have also completed landscape design courses from the Continuing Education Department at the University of Alberta and from the horticultural program at Old’s College. Each year I continue to enroll in professional development workshops to learn more and to keep current with trends and new information. I am proud to announce that my yard was nominated in 2011 and 2012 for Front Yards in Bloom competition and has recently been written up in the Alberta Landscape magazine.
